3 providers · 3 critic inputs · 1 audience input
The available critic average is 7.8/10 and audience average is 8.0/10.
Published comparable ratings, normalized to ten. Critics carry 80% and public audiences 20% when both groups exist; an available group carries 100%. Providers are equally weighted within each group. Approval percentages and personalized recommendations are excluded. Publications may overlap with aggregator inputs, so this is a provider-level estimate, not a count of independent reviews. Coverage is limited to the researched sources.

The Film Nagar method ↗Our craft assessments draw on written criticism. They are separate from the public consensus above.
Intersecting dilemmas provoke useful moral uncertainty.
Formal confidence sometimes becomes overstatement.
The ensemble grounds exaggerated situations.
Framing and colour make constraint palpable.
Shifts between episodes can disperse tension.
Song choices complicate the apparent mood.
Thiagarajan Kumararaja uses overlapping predicaments to challenge easy judgments about sex, family and belief. The stories influence one another without requiring every character to become part of one tidy conclusion.
Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha and Fahadh Faasil provide emotional pressure beneath the formal play. Doorways and enclosed compositions make restriction visible, while bold colour and repurposed songs create a world that often comments on suffering instead of simply mirroring it.
That distance is also the film's weakness. Shilpa's humiliation risks becoming a device for everyone else's moral education, and abrupt shifts between episodes can interrupt involvement. The design remains stimulating, but its declaration of tolerance is more convincing when characters are allowed complexity than when the film explains its philosophy.
Strong ensemble work and an unusually expressive audiovisual design.
Ironic distance sometimes weakens empathy and narrative continuity.

Netflix’s personalized recommendations are individual predictions and cannot be used as a public film rating. Country selection under Watch & Listen changes provider searches, not these rating snapshots.
