Movie artwork
Where a local film image is not available, your browser may request a matching poster from Cinemeta and Metahub. These providers receive the movie identifier and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. We do not send your Film Nagar account details or credentials with these requests.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your account identifier, name, email address and verification status. We use these to manage your account, save your preferences, protect submissions and identify authorized editors. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail messages.
Your cinema preferences
Your language and viewing-country choices personalize home-page film sections and viewing information. Without sign-in they are stored in this browser. When you sign in and save preferences, they are stored privately with your account for use across devices. You can change them or reset to all languages and India in Your cinema. These choices are not published in the talent directory.
Your public talent profile
Publishing a talent profile is optional. When you publish, anyone can see the professional name, biography, roles, skills, languages, general location, availability and portfolio links you choose to share. Profile details are self-published; they do not establish verified film credits. Your Google account email and sign-in identifiers are not part of the public profile. Avoid adding private contact details or sensitive information to public text or links.
What readers see in verified credits
Only approved credit submissions appear as verified credits: your chosen professional name, role, film and the character, credited-as name or release version you supply. Readers can follow these credits to your contributor page. Your email address, evidence files, evidence links and private explanations are not included in the public record.
Who can review evidence
You and authorized Film Nagar editors can access the evidence for your submission. Files are held in private storage and are downloaded through an account access check. Editors use evidence only to assess your identity and participation in the named production.
Share only what is needed
A relevant end-credit image, an official production page or a redacted production document can help. Explain where your name and role appear and how the evidence connects them to you. Do not upload government identity documents, financial details, private addresses or unredacted contracts.
Profile visibility and credit withdrawal
You can edit or unpublish your talent profile at any time from your talent workspace. Unpublishing removes the profile from public lookup and the directory; your saved profile remains available to your account so you can edit or publish it again. Previously shared or independently cached copies may remain outside Film Nagar. Unpublishing a talent profile does not withdraw an independently verified film credit.
Evidence files are scheduled for deletion after 365 days. Claim details and review history remain in the account record for editorial accountability. Withdrawing a claim removes its verified credit from public contributor listings; it does not remove independently sourced catalog records. File expiry does not automatically erase the claim history.
Sessions and service providers
Film Nagar uses a secure session cookie to keep you signed in, plus a short-lived cookie during sign-in. The deployment uses AWS for hosting, authentication and storage, and Google as the sign-in provider. Sign out on shared devices.
